on the question of overflow for a custom built tank I want Aquart to fabricate for me. The tank size is 96” x 48” x 30”. I’M trying to decide on the overflows and locations. I first thought of having just one overflow on the right side of the tank, about 24” x 18” x29”. This overflow would house 4-1 ½” drain bulkheads along with either 4- 1 ½” or 1” return bulkheads. I’m not sure the size I need. The tank will be a full reef tank heavily stocked with fish and corals so I need a large turnover ratio. I would like to have between a 30-40 time turnover rate. My other option would be two overflows located on the back wall of tank. If I chose this design, I’m not sure on the size of the overflows. Could you let me know what the best location for the overflows, along with the sizes of both the drain bulkheads and return bulkheads would need to be. Thank you for your time and effort.
